I have read the article, but it doesn't pertain to me as I have a file called CLINET.exe C-L-I-N-E-T not client. Thank you for the input in this matter.

Hiya and welcome to Tech Support Guy :)

Sounds annoying, may only be good for those that are addicted to online shooter games (like me :D )

Anyway, lets get on with removing this problem :)

Download Security Check from here.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.



Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from Here

Double Click mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
  • Make sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select "Perform Quick Scan", then click Scan.
  • The scan may take some time to finish, so please be patient.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • When disinfection is completed, a log will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to Restart.(See Extra Note)
  • The log is automatically saved by MBAM and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.
  • Copy&Paste the entire report in your next reply.
Extra Note:
If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts, click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process, if asked to restart the computer, please do so immediatly.






Download and scan with SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition for Home Users
  • Double-click SUPERAntiSpyware.exe and use the default settings for installation.
  • An icon will be created on your desktop. Double-click that icon to launch the program.
  • If asked to update the program definitions, click "Yes". If not, update the definitions before scanning by selecting "Check for Updates". (If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download and unzip them from here.)
  • Under "Configuration and Preferences", click the Preferences button.
  • Click the Scanning Control tab.
  • Under Scanner Options make sure the following are checked (leave all others unchecked):
    • Close browsers before scanning.
    • Scan for tracking cookies.
    • Terminate memory threats before quarantining.
  • Click the "Home" button to leave the control center screen.
  • On the right, under "Complete Scan", choose Perform Complete Scan.
  • Click Scan your computer.
  • On the left, select all fixed drives.
  • Click "Start Complete Scan" to start the scan. Please be patient while it scans your computer.
  • After the scan is complete, a Scan Summary box will appear with potentially harmful items that were detected. Click "Continue".
  • Make sure everything has a checkmark next to it and click "Next".
  • A notification will appear that "Quarantine and Removal is Complete". Click "Remove Threats" and then click the "Finish" button to return to the main menu.
  • If asked if you want to reboot, click "Yes".
  • To retrieve the removal information after reboot, launch SUPERAntispyware again.
    • [i][color=green]Click View Scan Logs.
    • Under Scanner Logs, double-click SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log.
    • If there are several logs, click the current dated log and press View log. A text file will open in your default text editor.
    • Please copy and paste the Scan Log results in your next reply.
  • Click Close to exit the program.




Please download Junkware Removal Tool to your desktop.
  • Shut down your protection software now to avoid potential conflicts.
  • Run the tool by double-clicking it. If you are using Windows Vista, 7, or 8; instead of double-clicking, right-mouse click JRT.exe and select "Run as Administrator".
  • The tool will open and start scanning your system.
  • Please be patient as this can take a while to complete depending on your system's specifications.
  • On completion, a log (JRT.txt) is saved to your desktop and will automatically open.
  • Post the contents of JRT.txt into your next message.



Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode onto your desktop.
  • Double click on AdwCleaner.exe to run the tool.
  • Click on Search.
  • A logfile will automatically open after the scan has finished.
  • Please post the contents of that logfile with your next reply.
  • You can find the logfile at C:\AdwCleaner[R1].txt as well.




Please include the MBAM log, SUPERAntiSpyware Scan Log, checkup.txt, JRT.txt and adwCleaner[R1].txt in your next reply

Hi Again - still not managed to clear Delta - I did have one attempt but didn't get very far and have not managed to get back to it for a number of more pressing problems. Will have another attempt later this week

What is wrong.....

Yontoo Virus - Need Help

It seems I'm now also bogged down by this Yontoo virus. I tried to remove it by uninstalling it as a program, resetting my Firefox, and ran Malwarebytes. However, I think I still have it on my computer. Below is the HijackThis file. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Outlook sending out email to everyone on my contact list

I am running windows 7 with outlook 2010 and it is sending out junk email from my account to all of my contacts. I reformatted my computer and reinstalled everything, and it worked fine for two weeks, and now again it is doing it again.

The SFC log you posted above is the same one you posted before, please run it again and post the new log.

As far as I can see from some research the SFC detection that the settings.ini file is corrupt is a known bug in Vista. The file is altered by various factors and hence cannot be recognized correctly by the File Checker so it is nothing to worry about. However, I would like to see an up to date log just to check everything is now ok.

Are there any remaining problems, has the Notepad issue stopped?

Ok, as Norton has been removed please run another scan with RogueKiller following these instructions below. Please also run another scan with ADWCleaner using the Delete button and post the log.

Download and run this to remove remnants of Norton: Norton Uninstall Tool

  • Quit all running programs.
  • Start RogueKiller.exe by double clicking on the icon.
  • Wait until Prescan has finished.
  • Ensure all boxes are ticked under "Report" tab.
  • Click on Scan.
  • Click on Delete when complete.
  • Click on Report when the Deletion completes. Copy/paste the contents of the report into your next reply.


When the above is complete please go into the Control Panel and select Windows Update, when the window opens click on Check for Updates in the left pane. It will take a while to produce the results, install any found updates and let me know if it goes without a hitch. You need not select any Optional updates.

Yes I will refrain from doing so. It was only after my laptop was completely unable to load that I thought it would help. I understand that the process of restore will not always help the situation, and may in fact make certain situations worse. Thank you for your help so far.
