I see no issues in those reports, except for errors when using Firefox. Since the issue is no browser specific, then it may be a problem with your ISP DNS servers.

Thanks for the feedback. :)

I can see absolutely nothing in the logs that might account for that start up error

Lets see whether this shows anything
download autoruns from http://technet.microsoft.com/en-gb/s.../bb963902.aspx

unzip it to a folder on desktop or downloads folder, when it finished scanning, select file/save and save the file.
It should give you an option where to save it. Save it to desktop or the same folder autoruns ran from.
You will need to zip the file before uploading it here. Right click the saved file ( probably called autoruns.arn) and select send to compressed ( zip ) folders. That will make ac opy in a zip file. Upload the zip here so we can see if anything appears in that

than I think. My system should be by now as clean as a whistle - all kinds of cleaning done. Yet, BitDefender still shows c betrad attempts that are blocked. I also have the free version of Malwarebytes. Cookies, temp files, corruptions, Google extensions, etc. all have been taken care of.

Hi everyone. First and foremost, here is the log of my new laptop,

Tech Support Guy System Info Utility version 1.0.0.2
OS Version: Microsoft Windows 8.1, 64 bit
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4510U CPU @ 2.00GHz, Intel64 Family 6 Model 69 Stepping 1
Processor Count: 4

Hard Drives: C: Total - 932249 MB, Free - 886780 MB;
Motherboard: ASUSTeK COMPUTER INC., Q551LN
Antivirus: Kaspersky Internet Security, Updated and Enabled

I purchased the laptop on Saturday and immediately installed my antivirus, then downloaded Google Chrome. Later that day, I noticed that I received a notification from Kaspersky stating that my home network is insecure. I tried to google the issue, but when I tried to visit Google, I was stopped saying that the connection in unsecure and that an "attacker is trying to access Google." Trying to visit other sites worked just fine and the following day, visiting Google worked normally. Tonight while trying to do some research on Hilleman Labs, I was redirected to what appears to be a fake boutique site called christianlouboutin5outlet.com. I simply googled Hilleman Labs, tried to click the first link for the hillemanlabs.org homepage and I was redirected there.

Thank you for looking into the issue.

This is an update on my problem. I am having to use my laptop now, because the proxy servers are not working. Firefox, google chrome, and explorer are not working. My problem seems to be increasing. I ran a defender scan and a MBAM scan, and both came up with "no malicious items found" Whatever I've got is bypassing my antimalware.

Hello and welcome, run the following from normal mode if possible, or safe mode if not...

Download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system (32 bit or 64 bit). If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
  • Double-click to run it. When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
  • Press Scan button.
  • It will make a log (FRST.txt) in the same directory the tool is run. Please copy and paste it to your reply.
  • The first time the tool is run, it makes also another log (Addition.txt). Please attach it to your reply.

Thanks,

Kevin....

  • if you don't understand something, please don't hesitate to ask for clarification before proceeding

Run RogueKiller

IMPORTANT: Please remove any usb or external drives from the computer before you run this scan!

Close all running programs.

Download RogueKiller to your desktop

  • when the pre-scan is finished, click on Scan
  • click on Report and copy/paste the content in your next post
  • NOTE: DO NOT attempt to remove anything that the scan detects –everything that is reported is not necessarily bad

If the program is blocked, continue to try it several times. If it still doesn’t work, (it could happen), rename it to winlogon.exe.

Please post the contents of the RKreport.txt in your next reply.

Dear Tech Guys!

I am another sufferer from the heinous SafeSearch. I have searched Google and done almost all of the suggestions I could find. I have researched the answers on your forum here for SafeSearch, and that pest continues to bedevil me, on Internet Explorer and Firefox, not Opera or Chrome.or Safari.

IE and Firefox make it impossible for me to change my Homepage. When I do and click back to options, Safesearch has once again become my home page.

I am attaching some text files from several programs. I hope they might provide some data from help from you guys. This forum is fantastic and I have never been disappointed in having my issues solved here.

Please let me know if you wish additional information.

Thank you.

Baby Hawk,
Based on a suggestion, try this one:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Run FixExec to Reset File Associations for Executables
This program will reset your file associations back to Windows defaults.

Please download one of the following to your desktop. If the first one doesn't work, try the next and so on.
FixExec.com
FixExec.pif
FixExec.scr

Double click the FixExec icon to run the tool.

When FixExec has finished running it will create a log on your Windows desktop called FixExec.txt.
This log will contain a list of the items that were repaired on your computer. Please post that log in your next reply.

I Keep Getting Logged Off on Every Site

Hi Everyone,

This just started a few days ago--first time ever! Every time I open Yahoo, I have to log in, even though I always check the "Keep Me Logged In" box. It's also happening with every other site I have to log into, even though, with those too, I check the "Keep Me Logged In" box.

Could I have picked up some virus? (I'm not sure it *is* a virus, it may be just some adjustment I need to make under Tools/Internet Options?)

I use a Dell XPS laptop, Windows 7 and Internet Explorer.

If anyone can help me with this, I'd be VERY grateful.

Thanks in advance,
Art
