It seems as if I've gone and caught a virus. Mozilla Firefox keeps on popping up annoying adds. Malware Antibytes isn't killing it, and I cannot seem to make sense of the HJT Log to identify what it is. I am no expert, but not a novice either when it comes to these things. hello, i am on windows 8 and i have recently had a problem with me laptop. randomly a window pops up with a programme called af.exe, i need help removing it.

I have done a stupid thing and downloaded something of which had this notification helper powered by sun king keeps popping up on my computer, I know I have to put what I have tired so far but there have been a few things I have looked up on line (can not remember all) to no avail

Some downloads from CNET are OK, and some not.
Only CNET knows which ones they will ship with unsolicited adware contamination.
Any time a CNET downloader is mentioned, the file is usually bundled.

You should be in fairly good shape for an XP machine.

Hello everybody...I'm using an Asus x550 win 8 laptop and today I tried to open the registry editor but I faced this issue : Right clicked regedit.exe in the C:\Windows and ran it as admin , but...nothing shows up . Also I have to mention I used local group policy editor and modified " Prevent access to registry editing tools " to disabled but that did not help . I am seeking for help here because I saw a guy asking about the same issue but he got it fixed with "regedit.com" method (not working for me ) , also he had win XP :D I am sorry for my bad english but I am desperate.

Now when I try to open a thread from a basketball website a page will come up claiming to be System Support IT and giving me a number or numbers to call. ALso, my cable provider givng me a number cause its telling me I have a security alert. I don't know if any of this is legit or a scam.

I somehow got a Program called taplika search when downloading a codec that i needed for one of my Games. Now i Uninstalled the taplika search from my computer but every-time i open a new web browser taplika search Redirects me to there site. i tried spyhunter but it requires me to pay for it's services witch i cant afford at the moment and malwarebytes wont let me use the free version anymore because of a stupid trial i used.

can somebody please help me stop this taplika search crap from hiking my bowers.

i have to click back many times and this is annoying. ran malwarebytes and many reg keys affected.

I was trying to download and install a PDF convertor the other day. After that I keep getting all these pop ups from Browser Shop. I tried deleting the browser extension for it but it keeps coming back. Computer is also starting to run slow. It is really bad on this site. Any help appreciated.

My computer seems to be infected with an adware virus. It first happened last weekend; when I was on youtube my firefox browser crashed. The next time I opened it, there were ads present on every webpage I visit. Computer runs very slow when I have firefox open. Seems like it continuously updates the ads present on the webpage I'm looking at. Computer would sometimes redirect me to suspicious websites when I would type a website in the address bar. All of the ads have the subscript reading "Ad by DiscountExt", if that helps at all.

I had two blue screens appear tonight. While using the computer, I began getting messages that Malwarebytes was blocking spyware.password. When the second blue screen appeared, the computer would not reboot, but the system performed a repair, so I am back on for the moment anyway. The first TSGSysInfo said I had no virus protection or firewall running. I clicked for avast to update, but the message center says no av is running. Windows firewall seems to be running. Please advise as to do next to see what is going on with my computer. Thank you so much!

I have a Windows 8.1 Toshiba laptop and bought Avast Internet Security a few months ago. It's recently started telling me it caught an infection on a webpage, which it describes as

This only seems to happen with Opera browser (I have IE for all those pages that don't work properly with Opera) and when I go to BBC News. I know BBC News has just revamped its website (badly) to suit prepubescent ,I mean tablet users,so maybe this is what it doesn't like.

Is it picking up something genuine, is it a false positive or is Avast owned by Rupert Murdoch or Lord Rethermere? It seems to be peculiar to Opera, somaybe it and the new BBC site don't like each other.

I am getting AF.exe error. I tried running the fix from a previous thread: run rundll32 C:\WINDOWS\System32:keulnlj.dll,Uninstall. But I get 'specified module could not be found error'???

Any options or ideas?

Compose and Run A Batch File
Please highlight, copy (Ctrl+C) and paste (Ctrl+V) the text inside the quote into a new Notepad document.
Save it on your Desktop as file type "All Files" (NOT as "Text Documents") and name it FixMe.bat
Close Notepad.
Double click FixMe.bat on your Desktop.
A window will open and close. This is normal.
Please locate the file named look.txt on your desktop and post the contents in your next reply.

3 days ago I began getting a pop up on steam and my browser saying its from my ISP it has my name spelled wrong and is showing up occasionally and not every time I open my browser and steam. I have done multiple scans and it never pops up I need to get rid of this its very annoying and I dont want to have to reset to default. If anyone can help me get rid of this it would be really awesome.
