Browsers + computer constantly crashing/freezing

I have been good at keeping up with trying to keep my pc clean, but lately i seem to be having a ton of issues with my browser locking up and freezing. I am also having issues with my whole unit freezing as well, screen freezes, cursor doesnt move and have to hard restart the unit, i am unsure if it may be malware related or not. The unit is just having piss poor performance and i can not figure out why
