Hi all
I have found this site after googling for any forum where i might be able to get some advice on the following problem. I have included it in this forum as i am unsure whether it could be related to a virus potentially, despite visiting no site with any threat.
I recently received my laptop back from a supplier (yesterday) (Samsung) who restored new hard drive etc, and it appeared to work fine up until this morning.
However, the windows updates (i use windows 7) which required me to restart the computer has since caused me a huge and incredibly irritating issue.
Once the desktop loads up again after the updates, the mouse cursor is flying around the screen uncontrollably, i cannot seem to control it myself, and it is constantly "right clicking" , inevitably clicking aimlessly on other things that load up and cause a lot more clogging up making the laptop out of control.
I am in no way able to "tame" the cursor and the laptop is totally unusable due to this cursor problem. I have now had to reboot the laptop twice and do a full system restore just to get the mouse/cursor working again, and know that next time it wants to update and restart windows 7, the problem will just return. Control alt/delete does not work due to mouse not being able to be used, not even the tab key can select on anything.
Can anyone advise what the diagnosis is here, is it a windows 7 compatibility issue, or otherwise? Im hoping i can get this sorted out because i need my laptop desperately for work, and only just received it back from Samsung yesterday. It's winding me up thinking i am going to have to send it back due to this stupid Windows 7 update issue causing the cursor / mouse to be totally out of control rendering the laptop unusable.
Any help will be much appreciated thanks.
