Search conduit complete removal

I have discovered, again, search conduit hiding in my msconfig. I thought I got rid of it months ago, but guess not. One tech said I need a level 3 Microsoft tech and it would cost several $100 to fix. I could buy a new computer for that. What can you suggest. I originally used the laptop remover to get rid of it, but then tried Revo Pro. I was able to reclaim my search engine, but evidently did not get rid of the beast. Help.
