Hello-- Have I got a challenge for you! FYI, I already researched this issue on Google and followed many instructions (details below), but I am still having issues. I'm hoping y'all can help.
Last week my computer was infected with the adware Redirect.cpvrdr.com (aka Redirect Virus). My computer has been running pretty smoothly since scanning with such software as AdwCleaner (ran this twice), Junkware Removal Tool, Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (ran this once in Quick Scan and once in Full Scan) and the TDSKiller from Kasperskyall of which now show my computer has a clean bill of health. However, I am unable to run HitmanPro (even in Force Breach mode) and my downloads keep getting interrupted and/or the prompt "is not commonly downloaded and could harm your computer." keeps hindering the process. Furthermore, I continue to receive the Redirect.cpvrdr.com pop-up, but instead of it redirecting me somewhere, it just turns up a HTTP 404 Not Found (see screenshot: http://i110.photobucket.com/albums/n...psb96021cd.jpg) error. Is there such a thing as a dead virus? What am I to do now? Thanks in advance for your help.
Best,
Randy
